Collaborating with 3 local businesses to indulge in rose themed activities during Rose & Rodeo Week.

Sketching in a rose garden. Bring your hat and sunnies. We’ll provide the rest. Meet at Stephanie’s store, and we’ll start with some basic sketching skills from our expert, Pat Van Kempen. Then stroll together down to St Mark’s Church and we’ll spend a mindful time with sketch pad, pencils and watercolours. Whether you are well practiced, or a beginner, come and enjoy a quiet hour or so in the dappled shade of St Marks, with artistic guidance from Pat available if you wish. Wet weather option – we’ll set up on the veranda of the rectory. Refreshments served during the afternoon.

Walking tour of Warwick’s rose gardens. Start at Stephanie’s, and enjoy a ramble along Grafton and Palmerin, ending up at Leslie Park for an in-depth chat with SDRC Parks Supervisor, David Webster, and members of the gardens team. Learn how the public gardens in Warwick and surrounding areas are cultivated and maintained. Plenty of ideas on the best species to choose, and how to get your roses at their blooming best. Return to Stephanie’s for light refreshments after the tour.

Rosé Tasting. Come into Stephanie’s for a Canapés and Wine experience. Learn about the finer points of Rosé wine, and how to choose a good bottle. We’ll talk styles, food pairing, and all that nose/finish/palate business… while sipping and nibbling. We’ll also work through a checklist of pantry essentials for easy summertime entertaining.
