Well, they are a given, but do we give much thought to them? Usually, we reach for our favourite, and wear them to death.
However, pulling on good underwear everyday can make a difference. Going out knowing your underwear is ship shape (and not near death) is a good place to start.
Being comfortable is the next thing. Do your undies stay put, and you forget about them all day? Despite the thousands of styles available, we know that finding the right undies can be difficult.
Then, having your undies enhance your total look is also helpful. No show through, no lines, no cutting in, no bulging out in the wrong places. Like bras, you may need different undies for different looks. Choosing the right cut, size and fabric can help.

Expensive doesn’t always mean better. Beautiful laces and quality fabrics will increase the price, which can definitely be worth it for special looks and luxurious feel. A good basic cotton brief should start at around $20, and you will get your money’s worth if you take care of them. Wash them in a mild detergent, eg a wool wash. Avoid fabric softeners, and harsh detergents with bleach and strong chemicals, and dry them in the shade…never in a dryer or over a heater.
