The bunting is down, the trees have undressed, and that was Jumpers and Jazz for another year. The mood this July was wonderful, the events were better than ever, the woollen-ness reached new heights of splendor.
Some of our favourite moments are shown here. Stephanie’s spent quite a bit of time at our near neighbours in Fitzroy Street, Psycho Susie’s – great music, excellent food. Also, a terrific afternoon was held on the final week end with the Melomanics putting on a wonderful display of local talent – singing and performing toe tapping jazz age hits.
Also we did some after dark wanderings, snapping the beauty of the streets at night. And if you missed Freestone this year, its a must do next year. All those plump knitted galahs, magpies, and cockatoos and snails – so creative, so Southern Downs, so fun! The best of JJJ is how everyone interprets the festival in their own way, and brings new experiences.
One of the hottest tickets of Jumpers and Jazz is Killarney Bonfire Night. Stephanie‘s connection with this event goes back to 2010. The McCormack family’s “Mulled Wine Stand” has been there every year, and is a big draw card at this event. If you’d like to know more and see some smokin’ pics…follow the link below
